New Adventures...
Welcome to the Art Room for 2013-2014
How does the room look through the looking glass? Hopefully, you'll feel at home within this newest transformation of the art room. As in previous years it is my wish that creative ideas are transformed from thoughts into tangible works, that students see as valuable contributions that in many cases, have the potential to affect attitudes for the better.
In addition to teaching perspective, the Elements of Art and Design and more; I hope to increase self esteem as students learn to critique each others work and build character through various tasks, as students develop a sense of responsibility for what they produce and how they collaborate with one another.
Students will be encouraged to think deeply about their work and consider what messages are they sending to viewers. As in the past, students will be encourage to compose essays concerning their products; integrating their art with English and writing. Writing rationales and stories about their work gives direction and clarity/focus.
I hope that parents, family members, and friends will visit these pages often to see through our looking glass into our world, where endless possibilities abound and challenges are met and creativity is unleashed at every turn. Consider coming to school and visit us sometimes. I truly enjoy having guests and your child will be delighted as well.
If you were delighted to walk through the looking glass this 2013-14 school year; you'll sail away to new adventures in 2014-15 at: http://mrsninabenson2014-15.weebly.com/
